Rickard Metals’ projects can be found not only in space, but also in the deep, high-pressure regions of the world’s oceans. We have supplied 2,500 pound drill forgings produced from alloy steel for use in the petrochemical industry. The photos above depict the forgings in the “as forged” condition, rough turned condition and final machined configuration. These parts will be subjected to extreme pressure when utilized in the offshore drilling environment for which they are intended.
