Grade 4 titanium (also known as CP Ti grade 4) is a commercially pure (CP) “unalloyed” titanium with excellent corrosion resistance, formability and weldability characteristics. Additionally Ti grade 4 offers the greatest strength of all commercially pure titanium materials. As a result, grade 4 titanium is often used for airframe & aircraft components for the aerospace industry. Other applications include cryogenic vessels, chemical processing machinery, heat exchangers, condenser tubing, paper production and surgical hardware. Additionally, the material is castable and is often utilized in cast valves and fittings. Specifications for Grade 4 titanium include mil-t-9047 (cp 70 titanium) and more.
At Rickard Specialty Metals, we have 30 years of experience supplying titanium grade 4 sheet, forgings and more to your custom measurements. See below for a list of common forged shapes we offer, including ti grade 4 bar and more.
