Custom 465® (also known as Alloy 465 and 465 SS) is a double vacuum melted martensitic stainless steel with ultimate tensile strength and an impressive combination of superior toughness and stress corrosion cracking resistance. Its vast strength and durability properties make Custom 465 a versatile alloy used in a variety of applications including aerospace and automotive components, medical devices, oil fields, sporting goods, and high performance racing. 465 stainless steel is mainly chromium and nickel based, with molybdenum and titanium being the other major chemical properties.
