7175 Aluminum is a heat treatable forging alloy featuring superior strength and toughness. Combined with its ability to resist stress corrosion cracking and limited weldability, 7175 aluminum is a textbook metal for use in structural applications and fittings including bolts and rivets. AL 7175 is mainly aluminum based, with copper and manganese being the other major chemical properties. Standard specifications for 7175 include AMS 4149, AMS 4344 and more.
At Rickard Specialty Metals, we have 25+ years of experience supplying 7175 aluminum plate, sheet, forgings and more to your custom measurements and shapes. Our forging process includes open die forgings, ring rolling and more. See below for a list of common forged shapes, including 7175 aluminum bar and discs, as well as additional product forms we offer.
